📋 Description

  • Lead the design and technical review of HV substations ranging from 115kV to 500kV, transmission
  • Direct EPCs, Engineers of Record, and engineering consultants to optimize designs, reduce execution
  • Own utility interconnection activities, including application reviews, steady-state and dynamic
  • Troubleshoot system events in the field, including relay operations, misoperations, nuisance trips
  • Conduct root-cause analyses using relay event reports, oscillography, substation SCADA data
  • Define and implement electrical upgrades and retrofit projects, including protection setting

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; a Master’s degree or PhD is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience leading technical scopes for HV substations, particularly 345kV–500kV
  • Proven experience managing EPCs, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional teams throughout the
  • Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose plant and substation issues using relay data, SCADA
  • Strong knowledge of major power system equipment, including operating principles, failure modes
  • Deep understanding of HV/MV equipment, protection and control schemes, metering, substation SCADA
