Electro-Optic Link Hardware Engineer

📋 Description

• Run lab characterization and debug of high-speed electrical/optical hardware
• Build system-level EO channel models and correlate with bench data
• Own link budget and verification with bench measurements
• Characterize eye diagrams, BER, jitter, equalization, impairments
• Support silicon bring-up with analog, package, PCB, SerDes teams
• Mentor Senior/Staff engineers while hands-on

🎯 Requirements

• MS/PhD in EE, Photonics, Physics (8+ yrs) or BS/MS (10+ yrs)
• Ownership of verification strategy for full silicon/system program
• Deep expertise in high-speed SerDes links (56G/112G/224G+), SI
• Hands-on lab investigations that stalled others
• Strong Python/MATLAB for automation frameworks
• Proficiency with VNA, scopes, BERTs, TDRs; ADS, HFSS, Cadence, COMSOL
