Elevator Mechanic

📋 Description

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vertical transport systems, including high-rise
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic tools
• Conduct scheduled inspections in compliance with ASME A17.1/CSA B44, state codes, and local AHJ
• Lead elevator modernization projects and major repairs in coordination with facilities engineering
• Read and interpret technical drawings, control wiring diagrams, and OEM documentation
• Utilize CMMS platforms to document maintenance activities, inspections, and system health metrics

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed elevator mechanic with experience in: Traction elevator
• Current state elevator mechanic license or certification
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work in tight, elevated spaces, including elevator shafts and roof-mounted lift
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as necessary
