Engineer 2 - Plant Commissioning Engineering

📋 Description

• Develop detailed hardware specifications and bills of materials for substation and STATCOM projects
• Prepare and review protection single-line diagrams, control schematics, interconnection diagrams
• Design AC/DC auxiliary supply distribution schemes and develop I/O allocation and interface
• Develop hardware engineering for STATCOM control and protection systems, valve cooling interfaces
• Coordinate interfaces between unit and station controllers, PPC, HMI, and grid automation systems
• Apply knowledge of protection schemes for transmission lines, power transformers, busbars

🎯 Requirements

• Hold a BTech or MTech degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power
• At least 2 years of specific experience working on STATCOM, FACTS, or HVDC projects
• Strong hands-on expertise in single-line diagrams, protection and metering SLDs, control and
• Experience with plant commissioning, pre-commissioning, protection testing, site modifications
• Solid understanding of electrical protection schemes and relevant IEC standards, utility
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
