Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers with 1:1s and reviews
• Partner with Product, Design, and leads to shape priorities and scope
• Define ownership, direction, and delivery standards for the team
• Break down payments work into clear plans with risk management
• Contribute as a senior engineer on backend services and payment integrations
• Guide API, service, and observability decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years leading engineering teams in product SaaS
• 5+ years building scalable web apps, APIs, distributed systems
• Hands-on with Node, TypeScript, Elixir or similar backend tech
• Experience with APIs, service-oriented architectures, event streams
• Strong architectural judgment; hands-on when needed
• Coaching engineers and leading through ambiguity
