Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of engineers; recruit a second team.
• End-to-end ownership of Hippo Plus – from direction to delivery.
• Introduce structure, processes, and good engineering practices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers on roadmap and clear requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into priorities.
• Balance new feature development with scaling and validating the product.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering background; mentor and push back when needed.
• Led a technical team before, ideally during a product's scaling stage.
• Experience leading distributed remote teams across time zones.
• Product-minded partner and co-owner of software products.
• Proficient with JavaScript/Node.js and React.
• Excellent English and Polish; comfortable with afternoon meetings.
