Engineering Manager, Core Entities & Trip Intelligence

📋 Description

• Onboard entities with producer teams; fix data quality.
• Design trip entity schema and real-time architecture.
• Partner with infra teams on real-time processing.
• Validate signal layer with product teams.
• Review designs for attribute serving and pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership on roadmap.
• Lead and develop a team of ~7 engineers.
• Present updates in executive reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years in industry; 3-5+ years in engineering management.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in CS, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Background in data/platform engineering; modeling & data contracts.
• Hands-on with distributed data systems: batch & streaming pipelines.
• Experience leading cross-functional platform teams.
• Comfort with greenfield work; start from a blank schema.
• Strong judgement on what belongs in infra vs product.
• Clear communicator; align producers, consumers, execs.
• Commitment to engineering excellence, diversity & belonging.
