Engineering Manager, Data Connections

📋 Description

• Lead a team of ~10 engineers on Data Connections at Amplitude.
• Own roadmap, reliability, and people growth for data pipelines.
• Oversee ingestion/export from Snowflake, Databricks, S3, etc.
• Work with AWS and GCP, with Kubernetes, Kafka, and more.
• Balance latency, scale, and security across dozens of sources.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Platform teams to ship end-to-end.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years leading engineers as a manager or tech lead.
• 6+ years building backend, data, or infrastructure systems.
• Experience with data integration/pipeline work—ETL/ELT at scale.
• Comfortable with cloud infra (Kubernetes, Kafka, S3 or similar).
• Track record improving reliability, latency, or cost in production.
• Clear communication with engineers and non-engineers.
