Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of 6-12 engineers across frontend, backend, platform.
• Own delivery pipeline: sprint planning, roadmap, dependencies, stakeholders.
• Partner with product/design/data to translate fintech workflows into scoped problems.
• Drive hiring: sourcing, evaluating, onboarding engineers.
• Establish best practices: code reviews, testing, incidents, on-call, docs.
• Identify bottlenecks in architecture/process/team; propose actionable fixes.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years in management or tech lead role.
• Hands-on backend or full-stack background; understand design tradeoffs.
• Track record of growing engineers and shipping quality software under pressure.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup; balance speed with scalable systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; tailor messages for audiences.
• Experience in fintech, capital markets, or enterprise SaaS; Java or TypeScript a plus.
