Engineering Manager, Machine Learning Platform

📋 Description

• Define and execute the ML training and serving roadmap (training, deployment, GPU infra, serving).
• Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers.
• Drive platform delivery and health balancing reliability, DX, performance, and cost.
• Adopt modern ML infra, including transformer workloads and GPU compute.
• Collaborate with ML modeling, product, and infra teams to support top ML initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing platform engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in software/ML engineering; 2+ years managing engineers.
• Experience building/operating production ML or distributed infrastructure.
• Strong ML data needs understanding: datasets, quality, reproducibility.
• Familiarity with DL, transformer models, and large-scale training/serving.
• Strong systems thinking; partner with senior ICs on architecture.
• Proven track record delivering platforms/infrastructure that boost productivity.
• Experience recruiting, coaching, developing engineers.
• Cross-functional collaboration; able to lead through ambiguity.
• Experience with applied ML modeling is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
