Engineering Manager, Media Foundations and Delivery

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional Backend, iOS, Android, and Web engineers to evolve media.
• Drive infrastructure modernization to give media first-class status.
• Own QoS metrics (TTFF, stalls, EBVS) for global streaming.
• Partner with infra teams to scale media via CDNs, edge, and caching.
• Standardize streaming formats (HLS, MPEG-DASH) and CMAF/MP4 containers.
• Set technical vision and balance speed with platform scale.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years in industry, including 3+ years in engineering management leading cross-platform teams.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
• Strong background in video streaming, CDN routing, and media ingestion.
• Experience defining and governing SLOs/SLIs for media.
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills.
