Engineering Manager, New Vertical

📋 Description

• Build and lead a new vertical product team across React Native and backend.
• Define the vertical from scratch with cross-functional partners.
• Partner with Product, Design, Marketing across SF, Montreal, Bangalore.
• Stay hands-on with code (~15% of time) while guiding technical direction.
• Launch the new vertical product and drive experiments post-launch.
• Establish CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and performance standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years managing a team of 5+ engineers in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
• AI-native development using tools like Cursor or Claude Code to accelerate experimentation.
• Strong React Native, mobile, or client-side background; or BFF/full-stack web with shipping UI.
• Experience owning a major product surface end-to-end (architecture, UX, reliability).
• Demonstrated ability to design, run, and interpret A/B experiments with sample size considerations.
• GraphQL and modern stacks; experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker).
• Regulated environments: healthcare or other regulated domains with sensitive data.
