Engineering Manager of Managers, Service Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Collaborate with high-visibility teams and their stakeholders to support key engineering initiatives
• Provide hands-on technical leadership (architecture/design, vision/direction/requirements setting
• Understand user needs and pain points to prioritize engineering work to enable product engineers to
• Work with leaders across the company to drive improvements to Stripe’s architecture
• Lead and manage processes to help infra teams do their best work and interface effectively with the
• Manage and grow a team of engineers and engineering leaders, including line managers, to deliver

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience being a manager of managers of teams of at least 25 people
• 3+ years of experience managing teams that ship and operate critical distributed system
• Experience leading staff or principal engineers with a track record of driving alignment on
• Managed effective incident response processes and on-call rotations
• Managed engineering teams working on API design, abstractions, frameworks, or client libraries
• Experience managing demanding stakeholder and partner relationships
