Engineering Manager, Payments

📋 Description

• Lead the Payments engineering team delivering reliable web apps.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize payments roadmap.
• Coach engineers with regular 1:1s and performance conversations.
• Balance delivery speed with engineering quality and maintainability.
• Guide the team through technical tradeoffs for reliability and scalability.
• Foster a collaborative, data-driven engineering culture.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–3+ years leading SaaS engineering teams as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience leading SaaS web app teams.
• Experience in payments, billing, fintech, or similar domains.
• Experience with Stripe, Recurly, Chargify or similar.
• Ruby on Rails strongly preferred; React experience helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
