Engineering Manager, Platform Reliability

📋 Description

• Build and lead Platform Reliability team; hire, develop engineers.
• Define roadmap for core reliability systems (load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers).
• Establish incident response, postmortems, and risk management via SLOs.
• Embed reliability into architecture and planning from the start.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping to rollout with tradeoffs.
• Coach engineers; foster growth and high-quality execution.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years engineering management in backend/infra/reliability.
• AWS and Kubernetes familiarity.
• Strong software engineering background; contribute to design tradeoffs.
• Experience building/operating production systems at scale; resilience.
• Excellent coach and communicator; helps engineers grow.
• Partner with product, infra, and engineering leadership to make tradeoffs.
