Engineering Manager, Software Platform

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Software Platform team; hire and coach.
• Define team goals and roadmaps aligned with priorities.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of prod services.
• Turn mission needs into clear requirements with stakeholders.
• Drive best practices: design reviews, code quality, testing, observability.
• Manage team capacity and growth; maintain ownership boundaries.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years software engineering and 3+ years leading production systems teams.
• Experience managing a platform/infrastructure/DevOps/SRE team, incl. hiring.
• Strong background in distributed systems with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS.
• Experience supporting production with uptime, SLOs, on-call, incident postmortems.
• Track record building paved roads/Golden Paths; treating internal platforms as products.
