Engineering Manager (Subscriptions)

📋 Description

• Lead delivery of initiatives from concept to rollout with engineers and non-technical peers.
• Manage and coach engineers for personal and professional growth.
• Partner with Product Manager to create a roadmap for sustainable impact.
• Drive process improvements and autonomy to fix what's not working.
• Oversee technical decisions and strategy; this is a leadership, not coding, role.
• Improve reliability and scalability of Paddle’s high-traffic event-driven system.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• Experience building or scaling subscription or recurring billing systems.
• At least 2 years of management experience with direct reports.
• Proven experience as a senior software engineer on complex, large-scale cloud-based systems.
• Strong and demonstrable understanding of high-performing, sustainable engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
