Engineering Manager, Switchboard

📋 Description

• Lead the fullstack Switchboard team for GitLab Dedicated's customer-facing control panel.
• Hire and develop a high-performing team with quality and speed.
• Partner with Tech Leads to provide direction and unblock the team.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on wireframes and UI for external users.
• Own planning with Product Manager: priorities, dependencies, quarterly epics.
• Drive fast, high-quality cross-functional execution across frontend, backend, UX, product.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record building large-scale distributed services with architectural depth.
• Experience operating services with 99.99% SLOs.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to boost team productivity.
• History of building and managing high-performing, accountable teams.
• Comfortable driving complex projects to completion without a dedicated TPM.
• Experience leading distributed and remote teams effectively.
