Engineering Manager, Travel

📋 Description

• Build and lead a new full-stack travel team; hire and onboard engineers.
• Define and sharpen the team's mandate within the Travel group.
• Set the team's technical and product direction; make tradeoffs.
• Ship a high-quality, competitive travel product with durable tech.
• Foster a people-centered culture of enablement, trust, and context-sharing.
• Partner cross-functionally with Travel, Expenses, and Product to align scope.

• Track record leading, hiring, and growing customer-facing product teams.
• Strong product sense; able to make and defend product/UX tradeoffs.
• Staff-engineer level technical bar; operate across levels and earn respect.
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels.
