📋 Description

• Build and lead a new full-stack team for Brex's travel experience, growing via hiring.
• Help define and sharpen the team's mandate within the Travel group—what it owns and boundaries.
• Set the team's technical and product direction, trading off what to build and in what order.
• Ship a high-quality travel product balancing feature velocity with solid tech.
• Foster a people-centered culture built on enablement, trust, and context-sharing.
• Partner cross-functionally across Travel, Expenses, and Product to align scope.

🎯 Requirements

• Track record in engineering leadership, building and scaling customer-facing products.
• Strong product sense; able to make and defend product and UX tradeoffs.
• Staff-engineer level technical bar; operate at all levels and earn respect.
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels.
