Engineering Team Leader

📋 Description

• Managing a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
• 30% of the time spent on management; otherwise participates in product development in the team.
• Being involved in hiring processes for their own team and helping peers; onboarding new engineers.
• By being the spokesperson for the team, manage dynamics and bring out the best in them.
• Giving continuous and constructive feedback on all things.
• Helping the team grow as a group and responsible for each direct report’s career.

🎯 Requirements

• Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
• Backend experience with Elixir/Phoenix or Ruby; functional programming.
• Strong engineering fundamentals; shipping secure, reliable, scalable production systems.
• Practical experience designing/adopting agentic/automation workflows.
• Systems thinking: define specs, break down plans, instrument verification, close the loop on quality.
• Demonstrates automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
