Environmental Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and improve environmental programs at Memphis-area facilities.
• Maintain compliance with EPA, TDEC, Shelby County Health Dept, and other agencies.
• Track and interpret new environmental laws, providing guidance to leadership and engineering teams.
• Perform regular environmental audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Manage hazardous materials and waste program, including Tier II and TRI reporting.
• Maintain SWPPP, SPCC, industrial wastewater and air-emission permits; support expansions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• 2+ years in environmental/regulatory compliance programs (internship and project experience counted).
• Knowledge of Tennessee and federal environmental regulations, including air permitting.
• Experience with SWPPP, SPCC, hazardous waste, and wastewater/stormwater permitting.
• Strong data handling, emissions calculations, regulatory interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to influence cross-functional teams.
