Equipment Qualification Engineer

📋 Description

• Support development, execution, and improvement of qualification programs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet qualification requirements.
• Prepare and review test requirements, specifications, and regulatory evaluations.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners, suppliers, and testing orgs.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and licensing documentation.
• Maintain awareness of industry practices related to equipment qualification.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years in equipment qualification program development/implementation.
• Strong knowledge of ASME QME-1, OM Code; experience applying IEEE-344 and IEEE standards.
• Background in mechanical design for nuclear or similarly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with NEI 18-04, Regulatory Guide 1.233, and qualification guidance.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and regulatory interaction skills.
