📋 Description

• Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for CA-IDMS database management systems within
• Monitor database performance and analyze queries, routines, access patterns, and system behavior
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies to improve response times
• Develop and recommend data modeling and structural improvements to support database architecture.
• Manage database structures, schemas, subschemas, storage areas, and partitioning strategies.
• Support integration of CA-IDMS databases with mainframe applications (CICS, Enterprise COBOL, JCL

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or other degree with postgraduate IT qualification.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of CA-IDMS database management systems.
• Experience with DDL, DML, and DCL commands in database administration.
• Solid experience in relational data modeling, database performance analysis, and optimization.
• Knowledge of normalization, data consistency, table partitioning, and VLDB strategies.
• Familiarity with IBM z/OS mainframe environments, JCL, TSO, IDCAMS, and Sort.
