Estimation Engineer

📋 Description

• Prepare and send enquiries for bought-out items; evaluate quotes.
• Evaluate quotations and clarify project requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase for fabrication rates.
• Discuss with Manufacturing to evaluate shop man-hours.
• Discuss with Engineering to determine engineering man-hours.
• Prepare scope (WBS) wise budget and release in the system.

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of Oil & Gas products and equipment
• Knowledge of design codes and material specs like ASTM, EN, piping standards
• Review project specs, P&ID, formulate BoQ and identify key cost drivers
• Review vendor proposals; clarifications and cost reduction methods
• Financial instruments and their implication on input cost, project cash flow and payment terms
• Internal review with engineering regarding optimization of BOM and man hours
