Estimator (Commercial Painting & Coatings)

📋 Description

• Prepare quantity takeoffs for painting projects using PlanSwift and Excel.
• Review drawings, specs, finishes, and painting scopes.
• Interpret painting specifications, products, coatings, and finishes.
• Communicate with clients to clarify scope and bid requirements.
• Develop competitive cost estimates based on production rates and materials.
• Identify exclusions and scope gaps before submitting proposals.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5+ years estimating for US-based commercial painting contractors.
• Proficiency with PlanSwift and Excel; read drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of painting methods, coatings, finishes, and labor productivity.
• Excellent English communication; strong organization; ability to manage multiple bids.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Preferred: Spanish-speaking; remote US construction experience; bid docs/RFIs.
