European Rail Logistics Manager

📋 Description

• Search for European gauge wagon owners and operators, negotiate rates and lease terms, book
• Control supply of empty wagons, their turnaround and return of rolling stock
• Request and compare railway freight rates, control transit time, minimum guaranteed weight and
• Work with European carriers, operators, forwarders, terminals and ports
• Manage transport requests from inquiry to closing: Freight request → Offer → Booking → Transport
• Build and update a unified train schedule with a 4–8 week planning horizon, proactively identify

🎯 Requirements

• Practical experience in international rail transport in Europe
• Experience working with European carriers and/or forwarders
• Understanding of European railway infrastructure and principles of rail freight pricing
• Knowledge of CIM and main transport documents
• Strong planning and coordination skills, ability to manage multiple trains simultaneously
• Strong negotiation skills
