EVP Chief Legal Officer

📋 Description

• Lead the legal function across commercial agreements, governance, compliance, risk, and strategy.
• Own the full contract lifecycle: customer, SaaS, licensing, DPA, and vendor contracts.
• Partner with Sales/Product/CS and executives to structure growth-friendly, risk-aware agreements.
• Develop scalable contracting frameworks, templates, approvals, and operating models.
• Advise leadership and the Board on governance, fiduciary duties, regulatory matters, and risk.
• Prepare legal updates, risk assessments, and Board materials.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• 12+ years in legal, in-house leadership, CLO/GC preferred.
• Proven experience negotiating complex commercial and tech agreements at scale.
• Ability to advise and present to Boards, executives, and investors.
• Experience with private equity-backed or investor-governed organizations.
• Experience overseeing litigation, employment matters, and regulatory considerations.
