Failure Analysis Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead system- and component-level failure analysis for customer field returns, new product
• Perform hands-on electrical and physical failure analysis for fault isolation on electronic
• Define and execute test plans for functional electrical testing, circuit analysis, fault isolation
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify the root cause for issues related to
• Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) closure; maintain KPIs and databases; engage directly
• Drive ambiguous problems to resolution independently, translating incomplete or conflicting data

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics, or a related
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component data sheets
• Familiarity with electrical systems and components (PCBA, MOSFETs, IGBTs, Capacitors, Relays, Cable
• Familiarity with or exposure to electrical test equipment such as Digital Multi-meter (DMM)
• Familiarity with physical failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy and 2D / 3D X-ray
• Experience applying problem solving tools including Root Cause Analysis

• The base salary range for this role is $83K – $112K per year.
