Fiber Service Technician-Mobile

📋 Description

• Travel (in-state and out-of-state) required and will be frequent as we align workforce with order
• Install fiber based high-speed internet for consumer customers
• Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities where necessary
• Climb poles, use shovel and pick to dig and bury cable, work in utility access holes or controlled
• Manage weekly per diem for travel expenses
• Observe all safety rules and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to travel
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to distinguish colors on facilities
• Ability to handle 28 foot extension ladders (up to 75 lbs. routine work) and utility access hole
• Ability to successfully complete service tech boot camp training
• Basic computer skills including MS Office applications
