Fiber Service Technician-Mobile

📋 Description

• Mobility. Travel (in-state and out-of-state) is required for this position and will be frequent as
• Installing fiber based high-speed internet for consumer customers.
• Performing maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities where necessary to facilitate
• Climbing poles, using a shovel and pick to dig up and bury cable, working in utility access holes
• Managing a weekly per diem in support of travel expenses.
• Assisting other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to travel
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to distinguish colors on facilities
• Ability to work with heavy pans and coils for OFA
• Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics and crawl spaces)
• Ability to work aloft (e.g., ladders)
