Fiber Service Technician-Mobile

📋 Description

• Mobility. Travel (in-state and out-of-state) is required for this position and will be frequent as
• Installing fiber based high-speed internet for consumer customers.
• Performing maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities where necessary to facilitate
• Climbing poles, using a shovel and pick to dig up and bury cable, working in utility access holes
• Managing a weekly per diem in support of travel expenses
• Observing all safety rules and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or a high school diploma or equivalent (equivalent education)
• Ability to distinguish colors on facilities
• Ability to handle 28 foot extension ladders (up to 75 lbs. routine work) and utility access hole
• Ability to successfully complete service tech boot camp training
• Basic computer skills including MS Office applications
• Ability to work in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces, utility holes)
