Field Applications Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead on-premises deployments and installations of industrial automation software at customer sites
• Configure and troubleshoot OT network connectivity, infrastructure, and integration with existing
• Ensure deployments align with the Purdue security model and OT network security best practices
• Troubleshoot PLC vendor software, industrial communication issues, and integration challenges
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for deployed customers, providing troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, and backup-related issues

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in Field Applications Engineering, Controls Engineering, Technical Support, or a similar
• Hands-on experience deploying and installing software on premises at industrial customer sites
• Strong experience with OT networking and network deployment, including connectivity, segmentation
• Practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems, including troubleshooting
• Strong troubleshooting skills across controls, software, hardware, and networks; familiarity with
• Experience with Python, SQL, or another programming or scripting language
