Field Service Engineer - Los Angeles

📋 Description

• Provide onsite installation, qualification, upgrades, repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance on next-gen sequencers
• Troubleshoot instrument issues involving software, hardware, chemistry
• Repair and service instruments in the field
• Report to Senior Manager, Field Service Engineering
• Document work in CRM software in a timely manner

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor Degree with 3+ years in engineering, physics, biology or chemistry
• NGS sequencing instrument experience; sequencing run setup preferred
• Experience servicing optics, fluid handling and thermal systems
• Proficient in MATLAB, Python, C++, or Java
• Strong problem solving, time management and communication skills
• Experience with service CRM software to log work
• Domestic travel up to 80%
• Flexible for non-regular business hours
