Finance Manager - Japan

📋 Description

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Japan office.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support growth and decision-making.
• Monitor performance, analyze variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets) and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP, tax regs, and reporting; coordinate with auditors.
• Drive ERP and financial tool improvements to scale Japan operations.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA/Nissho Boki preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
• Experience in a multinational company with global finance teams; fluent in Japanese and English.
• Proven FP&A, budgeting, and business partnering experience.
• Hands-on full-cycle accounting experience; ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
