Financial Controller - Disability and Life Insurance

📋 Description

• Own premiums, claims, technical provisions (mathematical and claims reserves) and related
• Manage reinsurance accounts, quarterly settlements and profit-sharing clauses, making sure the
• Restate French GAAP to Solvency 2, challenge actuarial best estimates and risk margin, and track
• Prepare balance sheet and own-funds QRTs and write the balance-sheet section of the SFCR
• Be the single point of contact for auditors on Solvency 2, starting with the 2027 dry run, with
• Analyse and comment on your scope (P&L, balance sheet, variances, loss ratio and other

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years in insurance accounting, ideally Big 4 insurance audit followed by finance or
• Strong command of French GAAP insurance accounting (technical provisions, reinsurance, insurance
• Hands-on experience with the Solvency 2 balance sheet and QRTs
• Strong analytical skills: reconciling large datasets, bridging French GAAP to Solvency 2, spotting
• Organised, rigorous and comfortable building structure from ambiguity; you close the loops and can
• Fluent in English and French
