FinOps Analyst (AWS)

📋 Description

• Analyse AWS spend across accounts; map costs to products, portfolios, and teams.
• Produce cost reports for senior mgmt; show budget impact, variance and trends.
• Maintain tagging hygiene and allocation models for accurate cost attribution.
• Track savings initiatives; provide projected vs realised savings.
• Lead AWS cost optimisation across the estate: EC2 rightsizing, scheduling, storage.
• Governance: enable FinOps Champions and communicate cost findings.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–6 years of FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud operations with AWS focus.
• Proven ability to investigate AWS cost drivers and produce management-ready reports.
• Strong communication; translate findings for non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on experience with AWS billing, tagging, cost allocation models.
• Experience with Terraform/CloudFormation is a plus.
• Knowledge of reserved instances, Savings Plans, and cost optimization strategies.
