Fire Protection Designer (Remote) Senior Level

📋 Description

• Create detailed fire sprinkler layouts using HydraCAD.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, take-offs, and NFPA-based validations.
• Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings for coordination.
• Prepare submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with PMs, estimators, engineers, contractors, and field teams.
• Participate in meetings; communicate with clients and AHJs.
• Mentor junior designers and share knowledge with the team.
• Stay updated on NFPA, IBC, IFC, and related standards.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection design.
• Proficiency with HydraCAD, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.
• Strong NFPA, FM Global, and fire/building code knowledge.
• Experience producing hydraulic calculations, layouts, fabrication drawings.
• Coordination with engineers, contractors, project teams, and authorities.
• NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
