📋 Description

• Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits.
• Studies blueprints to determine materials and tasks.
• Plans steel layout per specifications.
• Lays out, positions, and aligns parts per blueprints.
• Moves parts safely using hoists or cranes.
• Measures and marks steel for manipulation.
• Assembles fittings according to specifications by welding.
• Welds parts to form complete structures.
• Verifies steel conformance by measuring devices.
• Examines workpieces to ensure specs are met.
• Cuts material using torches and cutting equipment.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Interpret blueprints required.
• Read a tape measure required.
• Welding/fitting certification or prior fitting experience preferred.
• Certifications/experience with moving machinery (cranes) preferred.
• Must pass on-site tack test.
• Regular, reliable attendance required.
