Forward Deployed Engineer

📋 Description

• Deploy onsite for multi-week engagements to install BRINC drones and LiveOps software.
• Support live operations: prep tests, contingencies, and debriefs with customers.
• Triage and debug issues across software, firmware, hardware, networking, and RF.
• Implement and validate on-site fixes; write, test, deploy code and configs, then upstream.
• Act as liaison between customer and HQ engineering; translate observations into bugs.
• Return to Seattle HQ to work with engineers and validate features.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in software/field/systems engineering or technical support of complex hardware systems.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and software.
• FAA Part 107 license and currency.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness for rotating after-hours on-call.
• Proficiency in Python and ability to read/modify C/C++.
