Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• Own deployment architecture discussions and execution across customer environments.
• Manage full infrastructure lifecycle for key customers: deployment, upgrades, scaling, incidents.
• Develop and maintain deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling.
• Partner with engineering to ensure Sierra's platform is deployable across requirements.
• Work with customers' platform engineering and security teams to meet constraints.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to scope infra requirements during pre-sales.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering with customer deployments.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, container orchestration, and VPCs/IAM/DNS.
• Deployments in customer-owned clouds with security reviews and change control.
• Navigate enterprise stakeholders (engineers to CISOs) and translate to deployment plans.
• Strong operational instincts: upgrades, rollbacks, monitoring, and failure modes.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
