Hybrid role in AI Foundations team reporting to Principal Research Scientist
Build and operate petabyte-scale data systems and ML pipelines for foundation model development
Advance end-to-end ML lifecycle including training, evaluation, and deployment
Collaborate with AI Foundations, ML, and Platform teams to ship improvements to Waymo Driver

🎯 Requirements

Undergraduate degree in CS, ML, robotics or related field
Proficiency in Python and C++
Experience with large-scale data pipelines or ML infra (Flume, Spark, Borg, Kubeflow)
Strong software engineering skills for large shared codebases
