FP&A Manager (R&D)

📋 Description

• Serve as key FP&A business partner to R&D leadership (Engineering, Product, DevOps)
• Build/maintain R&D headcount and opex models (hiring plans, contractors, capitalized software
• Develop scenario/sensitivity analyses for investment trade-offs and partner on prioritization
• Own monthly budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis for R&D spend and hosting costs
• Partner with Engineering/DevOps to forecast/manage Azure and AWS hosting costs and support cost
• Own COGS model for multi-tenant SaaS platform; build/maintain unit economics

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years FP&A, Finance, Business Analysis experience including R&D/Engineering/Product
• Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field
• Experience with financial planning, ERP, CRM, spend management systems (e.g., Aleph, Sage Intacct
• Ability to interpret financial statements and convey recommendations
• Experience leveraging AI tools for financial modeling (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT)
• Strong attention to detail and self-review capability
