Fractional Director of Legal

📋 Description

• Fractional Director of Legal for AltaML on a part-time basis.
• Own commercial contracting, governance, and risk management.
• Manage outside counsel; support board, investor relations, cap table.
• Support other clients/ engagements in parallel (fractional role).
• Time commitment ~2-3 days/week; flexible by volume.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and Alberta Bar membership or eligible via NCA
• 5+ years in legal; commercial contracting & corporate law; in-house preferred
• Governance, board processes, cap table & equity admin (VC-backed ideal)
• Tech/SaaS or professional services contracting knowledge
• Proven outside counsel management and cost-conscious approach
• Organized; able to run a standalone legal function; fractional exp a plus
