• Assess FOSS license implications (copyright, modification, distribution) to engineering teams.
• Support training on FOSS licensing across engineering teams.
• Categorise uncategorised licenses into Liberal, Permissible, Weak Copyleft, Copyleft, Banned.
• Review OSS license handling and suggest improvements or exceptions.
• Contribute to selecting and improving automated license evaluation tooling.
• Act as liaison between Engineering, Legal and Risk for compliant OSS adoption.

🎯 Requirements

• Postgraduate experience in copyright or contract law.
• Strong interest in software development with practical exposure.
• Hands-on OSS usage or contribution experience.
• Experience in regulated environments like financial services, risk, or compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSS licensing and regulatory implications.
• Formal legal training focused on copyright or software licensing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices is beneficial.
• Exposure to FOSS compliance and tooling like Nexus IQ Server or Black Duck is advantageous.
