Freelance IT Proximity Engineer (m/w/d)

📋 Description

• Proximity IT support across Goole and Northallerton, acting as the local intervention point when
• Level 1 support for end-user devices, including PCs, laptops, mobile phones, printers and
• Enhanced Level 1 & 2 hardware diagnosis and support for industrial equipment, including
• Resolve hardware, workstation, peripheral and local connectivity issues within the defined support
• First-line and client-device support for Microsoft 365, Teams telephony, SAP and other
• Configure, stage, install, deploy, replace and relocate approved IT equipment across office

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in an IT proximity, site support, field engineering or Level 1 support role, ideally
• Practical experience supporting industrial or operational IT equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong hardware fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, peripherals and basic network
• Ability to diagnose industrial hardware issues and recognise when escalation to infrastructure
• Experience using a Service Desk platform, preferably ServiceNow, and working within ITIL-based
