Furnace Design Engineer

📋 Description

• Furnace and refractory design/operations for glass melting furnaces.
• Provide audits and campaign life assessments with action reports.
• Manage projects from scoping to commissioning and construction.
• Support operating and maintenance for related systems.
• Handle complex projects with engineering expertise and minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and process control teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic Engineering preferred; chemical/mechanical acceptable.
• 5+ years in glass furnace and refractory design, audits, hot repairs.
• Knowledge of refractory expansion and binding steel interface.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems and process controls.
• Safety PPE awareness; able to work in multinational environments.
• MS Office, AutoCAD and SAP proficiency; English (Advanced).
