📋 Description

• End-to-end accountability for fusion island breeding blanket design.
• Technical leadership across engineering interfaces.
• Define and govern the overall power cycle design architecture, including configuration, major design parameters, and fundamental safety approach.
• Resolve complex, cross-cutting technical issues that cross disciplines.
• Write key engineering deliverables: system design descriptions, design basis documents, interface control documents, and safety inputs.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and report design status to the Fusion Island Group Leader.

🎯 Requirements

• M. Sc. in nuclear engineering or chemical engineering; PhD advantageous.
• 5+ years in the field; 2+ years leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in thermal-hydraulics, tritium transport and mechanical design.
• Mastery of CFD or Thermomechanical FEA tools; deep knowledge of safety analyses principles and design basis development.
• Knowledge of nuclear reactor physics; advanced fusion reactor knowledge is a plus; IFE experience is an advantage.
• Understanding tritium fuel cycle and I&C; experience with RAMI, licensing, documentation and project scheduling.
