📋 Description

• Act as strategic legal advisor to executives; identify risks and opportunities.
• Assess legal posture; identify gaps; build a prioritised roadmap.
• Lead in-house legal team; implement scalable, metrics-driven processes.
• Oversee governance, equity admin, and any M&A activity.
• Advise on employment law for UpGuard's global workforce.
• Support board governance; manage director obligations across jurisdictions.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of legal experience, 4+ in leadership; in-house B2B SaaS.
• Law degree and admission in good standing.
• Proven track record building scalable compliance programs at scale.
• Strong SaaS contracting experience across varied deal sizes.
• Cross-functional collaboration across global teams; hybrid/remote.
• Experience implementing AI tools to enhance legal operations.
