General Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide legal guidance across contract law, privacy, data protection, and employment.
• Oversee company-wide contract review and execution.
• Draft and negotiate large commercial contracts with partners and vendors.
• Leverage AI to boost productivity and efficiency on legal matters.
• Manage outside counsel relationships.
• Mentor Deputy General Counsels and align with the CFO on policy.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney (in-house or at a law firm)
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating large commercial contracts
• Experience with data privacy law is preferable
• Ability to handle major problems in practice areas with little or no supervision
• Sound business judgment and industry knowledge
• Experience managing client relationships with business leaders
• Experience in the technology industry is highly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar
